Homecoming Pride
IEA members showed their school spirit and their IEA pride during MU's homecoming "Chalk the Walk" festivity!
Elections and Fellowship- Tie-dye style!
New and old exec and members gathered together for some free tie-dye after elections were held for new exec positions.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Game Night
Big Brothers Big Sister Game night. MU-IEA served over 25 children by spending quality time with them playing games and providing snacks and crafts.

Fall Conference
3 upperclassmen attended the Fall Conference in Springfield, IL to improve IEA's pillar "Teacher Quality."
Political Action
MU students participated in 3 phone-a-thon sessions to help IEA endorsed Tim Dudley become Illinois Elected Senator.
Tie Dye Fellowship
Though "fellowship" is not one of the state IEA "pillars" MU IEA-SP likes to network with fun activities such as Tie Dying, Kickball, and attending sporting events together!
Washington D.C. Rally - Political Action
Millikin University provided students with scholarships to go to Ron Stewards "Rally for Sanity," on October 30th, 2010. Thousands of people rallied to promote sanity at the nations capital. Several MU students and faculty were featured in the newspaper including MU-IEA President Whitney Vanderspool-Snell and Professor Gentry.
Mandated Reporting Speaker
Kay White, one of Millikin University's best Human Services professors attended one of our bi-weekly meetings to teach us about the background, reasoning, and responsibilities of Mandated Reporting. This picture shows four of the executive board members grabbing some of the left over food from our meeting! We had over 20 students attend from several different majors including: Education, Human Services, and Nursing.
Icebreakers-Networking-Teacher Quality
Marissa Morin and Rachel Spenn, two MU-IEA sophomores, pose for a picture after our second IEA meeting of the year. The floatees contained questions that helped us get to know each other better!
Spicing up the Meetings - Community Outreach
To help a new business within the community get started, we had a "Button Up" party. Students came to meeting and were given the opportunity to show their IEA spirit by making their own buttons! The picture featured at the left is a small sample of the creative buttons our chapter made.
Outreach to Teach Program
First ever IEA-SP Outreach to Teach Program! Huge success! The school was repainted in one day with the help of over 40 volunteers!
Spring Conference
We had over 10 students from MU attend Spring Conference. Conference was held in the suburbs and attendees enjoyed several break out sessions, a hotel stay, and of course a dance!
